Barbara Angehrn is Chief Executive Officer of Asceneuron since October 2023.

Barbara joined Asceneuron from Vifor Pharma where she lastly held the position of Chief Business Officer and Member of the Executive Committee with responsibility for Global Commercial Functions, Technical Operations, Manufacturing, IT and Corporate Communications.

Prior to Vifor Pharma Barbara was CEO and Founder of Stepstone Pharma and held Senior positions as Vice President Europe at Exelixis, Head of Commercial Operations at Onyx Pharmaceuticals (sold to Amgen for $10.5B) as well at Amgen International.

Barbara brings strong experience is several business areas: commercial operations, sales & marketing, pricing & reimbursement and business development. She has extensive international experience in commercializing therapies in specialty pharma as well as in working on early-stage pipeline programs in various therapeutic areas.

Education

Barbara holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an MBA from the University St. Gallen.
