Kara Zweizig

Career

As Head of Business Unit Surgery, Kara actively drives growth of Surgery by fostering collaborations, strategic partnerships and ventures, enabling and enhancing our strategic focus for this area. She joined medmix in March 2024 from RTI Surgical, where she served as the Business Development Director overseeing strategic growth and partnerships in allograft and xenograft biomaterials. In this role, she was instrumental in driving market expansion, ensuring project success and facilitating effective sales enablement. Previously, Kara held various global leadership positions at Advanced Medical Solutions, where she played a pivotal part in the successful launch of new products and the development of distribution channels. Kara brings a wealth of experience in business development and sales, with her expertise spanning a wide range of surgical areas, including wound closure, cardiovascular, orthopedics, spine, and general surgery.

Education

Kara Zweizig holds a B.S. in Bioengineering from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA and an Executive MBA, Global Business from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA.
